RideLondon-Surrey 100 FAQ We answer your frequently asked questions about Prudential RideLondon - Surrey 100. If there's anything we haven't covered please get in touch email [email protected] or call01206 617 865 Event date This ride will take place on Sunday 4 August 2019. Can anyone take part? You need to be over 18 years old and able to cycle 100 miles by the time of the event. Do I need my own bike? For comfort, it is best to ride on a bike you are used to and have trained on. However, if you don't have one - we sell refurbished bikes at our warehouse in Colchester, Essex. Give us a call to find out more. Please note there are restrictions on what bikes you can use for Ride London. Please check the Ride London website for more details. Is there a minimum fundraising target? Yes, we are asking riders to raise a minimum of £400. This money will go towards our work improving lives through bicycle re-use in Africa. Will Re-Cycle help me with my fundraising? Of course! When you register you will receive a welcome pack with a bit more information about the event, a fundraising pack and training guidelines. We suggest you open a Justgiving page to help share your journey with your sponsors. You will get updates from the team in the lead up to RideLondon, with fundraising hints and training tips. We will also provide you with a lovely Re-Cycle cycling jersey to wear on the day. When will I receive my official race day information? You will be asked to enter your details into the RideLondon portal after your welcome email had arrived to confirm your place. The final instructions magazine will be posted to you about four weeks before the event day. Do keep an eye on the organisers' website as this is where you’ll find the most up-to-date information. When will I receive my race number and timing chip? You’ll need to collect your rider pack from the cycle show before the event. Please refer to the Prudential RideLondon website for timings closer to the event day. All participants in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey must register at the Prudential RideLondon Cycling Show to collect their registration pack. You’ll need this pack to be able to start the event. Will the roads be closed? Yes, there will be no traffic on the roads, unless they are emergency vehicles. Start Times The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 riders will set off in waves from 05:45 on Sunday 4 August 2019. Riders will be notified of their start time by email in early July. Where will I finish the event? You’ll complete the ride along The Mall. You’ll need to plan your journey home from St James’s park.
