Re-Cycle 2019 Challenge resources Put your best pedal forward, take on the challenge and transform people's lives. Mark the first day of spring with the power of cycling by taking part in Re-Cycle's 2019 Challenge. Choose your goal: Ride 308 miles, 440 miles or 1,103 miles and raise £200 to provide life-improving transport. Clock up your miles between 1 March and 25 May. You could smash it in three days, three weeks or three months. On the road, during a spin class or at home. The choice is yours, all you need is determination and pedal power! You Challenge - 308 miles - this is the distance to and from Re-Cycle's warehouse in Colchester and Halford's head office in Redditch. Commuter Challenge - 440 miles - this is the average walking distance one of our school students in West Africa makes in 3 months. Pro Challenge - 1,103 miles - this is the distance our bikes travel from the port in Dar es Salaam Tanzania to our partner Kaloko Trust in Zambia. The Goal: Register for £10 and receive a medal for taking part, raise £100 and you'll receive a Re-Cycle water bottle, reach £400 and you'll get a Re-Cycle 2019 Challenge T-shirt and a mention on our socials, hit £1,000 and you'll receive your very own Re-Cycle cycling jersey (while stocks last) and a medal! We rely on amazing people like you to fund our life-improving work. Every £46 you raise powers our team towards making transport available to people living and going to school in remote communities.
