Wojtek Godzisz

Former bassist and main songwriter of Symposium, Wojtek Godzisz returned to the public eye in 2006 when he circulated numerous demos on his Myspace page and signed to Tigertrap Records. His first release for Tigertrap was Burning Ideals, in April 2007.
Wojtek is wild-eyed from the word go, screaming his infectious melodies of pagan glory and worldly wisdom, sometimes battle cries and sometimes hymns; chants that sound like the work of many men on record pack more of a punch live being emitted from Wojtek's throat alone, while his muscular rhythm section works tirelessly to keep up with his feverish guitar work.”
“His mastery of song craft and melody is up there with the best of them.”
“Wojtek and his band can rock as hard as any”
Play Louder

Dega Breaks

Black and white disko punk, funk skag attacking the senses and bruised chords all over the place. Thinking Blondie, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Whitey etc.

Singer Dominic Otero spits lyrics like a man on fire, firing out songs of the city, songs of dancing through the early hours, songs of a frenzied man with too much to say and no time left to say it. Drummer Alex Sabga has been killed at least 37 times and looks none the worse for it, his stints on ‘Band of Brothers’ and ‘Alexander’ provide many a tour bus yarn. Multi-tasking, ambidextrous Gavin Bilbe handles guitars and keys, sometimes simultaneously; Ben holds everything steady with heavy bass and wry smile.

“London's answer to The Killers? Well, Dega Breaks certainly have the capacity to go the distance with epic guitar, cosmic keys and a front man born with an anthem in his lungs.”

“They're everything you could hope for in a band as scuzzy as the gutter, as epic as the stars. They ooze the sort of decadence paraded through London's three quid clubs at three am. Young, beautiful and alive for the hour.” BBC London

COMEDY ACTS:

Amy Button

  • Winner of TfL Stand up Comedian Competition

Amy Button has been blurring the boundaries between comedy and musical theatre since the spring of 2007.
She unashamedly belts out Broadway-esque ditties, warbles in GCSE French and does a rather uncanny Heather Small from M People.

With a surreal slant she confesses the fuzzy logic behind her thoughts, opinions and some might say irrational fears

Martin Hill

  • Finalist – Amused Moose new act of the year 2008
  • Amused Moose Hot Starlet 2007/08
  • Winner of Comedy Cafe New Acts Night 2008

Martin started performing stand up in 2007 and has already established himself as one of the hottest new acts on the circuit. His charismatic style combined with his wonderful grasp of language has seen him become a favourite with audiences and bookers alike.
“It’s the imaginatively-put phrases that leap from his routine which give him the edge” Chortle
“Hugely promising” Time Out
“He has an assured manner which inspires confidence…a mastery of the metaphor…and a skilful way with words” Chortle

The Boom Jennies

A sketch comedy trio, featuring Lizzie Bates, Anna Emerson and Catriona Knox. These girls produce fun, fast-paced, inventive sketch comedy mixed up with some top-notch tunes.
‘These girls are hilarious… fluid comedy genius’ Scotsgay
