2011 Shipping Schedule & Shipping History
This page shows plans for future shipments of bikes.
Please Note
- The order or timing of shipments may change if appropriate.
- Dates planned depend on enough bikes coming in. If more are received we'll ship sooner, if they are slow coming in, shipments may take a little longer.
- Dates mentioned are departure from the UK. Sea voyage to the nearest sea port can be between 2/6 weeks. Added to this is the time taken to clear customs and finally the overland journey to the final destination.
- Sadly shipping to inland countries takes much longer and is very expensive - up to double the cost to the nearest sea port. We have reports of shipments taking 5 months to reach Malawi for example.

Shipments sent
January - UWABA, Tanzania (new partner)
- New partner and our first shipment to Tanzania
- Shipped 6th January
- At our partner's request we shipped a 20 ft. container that we purchased to stay in Dar es Salaam to be converted to a bicycle workshop
- Matt (our mechanic) has visited and trained 13 local people as mechanics
February - Glad's House Bike Project, Mombasa, Kenya
- Shipped 11th February
- At our partners request, we loaded more than double the normal quantity of spare parts to stock up their very busy and successful bicycle repair workshop.
March - Ability Bikes, Ghana
- Shipped 25th March
- 450 bikes loaded
- The 2nd shipment from Re~Cycle
- Have had others from Bikes Not Bombs, USA
April - BEN, Namibia
- Shipped 28th April
- 413 mountain bikes loaded
May - Zambia (Kaloko Trust)
- Shipped 26th May
- 414 bikes loaded
June - BEN, South Africa

July (running late) - Glads House Bikes, Mombasa, Kenya
